PROJECT "YELLOW RIBBON" The oldest and most consistently maintained site in support of Cameron is "A Yellow Ribbon for Cameron Todd" , created and maintained by his sister, Jane. (Jane Todd-Williams) The Yellow Ribbon page was the first to be maintained on a regular basis and so may have information not included here. It is "interactive" in that members may post information on the site. Membership is free and joining easy. It is open to the public so that anyone may go in and read what is there. Membership is not necessary unless you wish to participate actively. The page also contains a "Photo Album" with pictures of Cameron and family. The page is updated regularly and contact information is kept current. "The Cameron Todd Page", (Where you are, now) is maintained by his father, Doug Todd but the contents are the result of the contribution of many family members, friends and supporters. Some of the pages of this site are described below and others will be added in the future. DMT |

.....A Message From Cameron Cameron was recently transferred from the Rankin County Correctional Facility, at Pearl, Mississippi to a location near Holly Springs. In a letter to me he asked that I pass on, to his friends and supporters, certain details of his new circumstances. I decided that the letter, itself, would be more useful than any paraphrase of my own so I have posted it in it's entirety (except for a couple of personal details that be meaningless to anyone else) on a separate page at: ...A Message From Cameron. Briefly, he is less optimistic than in the past but his attitude is good and he is looking to the future with plans to make the best of such opportunities as are available to him now. |

The Accuser Speaks.... This case began with a thirteen year old who claimed to have been sexually abused by several people. She was, at the time, living as a foster child in the home of an aunt in Houston Mississippi. Friends and relatives report that she had complained, almost daily, to the DHS about conditions in the home. Sexual abuse was not on her list of complaints, however, until after she was arrested, with several others, in an arson investigation. After her arrest she wrote out a statement naming several men with whom she claimed to have had sex. The Houston Police Officer, Cameron Todd, was named among them. In return for her promise never to change her testimony concerning the abuse she would not be formally charged with the arson. She had a long history of making such charges and then retracting at the last moment. The original statement as well as a later statement retracting the charges has been transcribed and posted at: Two Letters from The Accuser. |

The Anders Enigma 21 June, 2002 Jimmy Anders is a young man from the Houston area who was charged with Capital Rape on the testimony of the same accuser. The charge carries a possible death penalty but when his trial date arrived he was informed that the charges had been dropped because the girl changed her testimony. She had, in fact, changed her testimony concerning him at the same time she made the same charges against several others including Cameron Todd. Jimmy tells his own story at "The Anders Enigma" |

The Hester Retraction Between the first and second trials a letter of apology surfaced which had been sent, by the accuser, to the lady whose home had been destroyed in the arson which started the fiasco. The letter also stated that the charges, made by the author, against a number of people, including Cameron Todd, were false. When it became obvious that the experts at the state crime lab would not testify that the letter was traced, forged, or in any other way fraudulently produced but was, in fact, a retraction of all charges, the Prosecution, desperate to discredit it, persuaded Timmy Hester to commit perjury in claiming that he had written it. He was bribed with a promise that his suborned perjury would, somehow, be of some help to his Twin Brother, Jimmy, who was in prison. The promises were false; Hester was disappointed and retracted his perjured testimony after it was too late to affect the outcome of the trial. An affidavit summarizing his new position is available at: THE HESTER RETRACTION THE HESTER REBELLION Timmy Hester has a page on which he expresses his opinion in a more extensive way. He was obviously treated very badly by the D.A. and is determined to continue his crusade to expose official corruption in Chickasaw County. His personal page is: THE HESTER REBELLION (NOTE: This page is off-site... use your browser's "BACK" button to return here.) |
